Schedule:                                Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

 

Hours/week:                           40 hours per week in Office

Objective:

We are looking for highly motivated Bookkeeper/Office Administrator  to assist in a wide range of accounting and basic office administration tasks.  The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of Bookkeeping/Accounting experience, is extremely organized, has a strong work ethic, can learn new tasks quickly, and is not afraid to take initiative. 

Bookkeeper Job Profile and Description:

The tasks of the Bookkeeper role are to provide assistance to the CEO, President and staff with all aspects of accounting in our office.  The bookkeeper works in conjunction with our staff, clients, and vendors to manage most day to day accounting operations.  It is also imperative that you understand general accounting principles beyond a specific software like Quick Books.  We work in a custom in-house accounting system that requires a full understanding of accounting practices. 

 

The tasks of the Office Administrator role are to help with the basic functions of keeping the office operational day to day and aiding in maintaining and growing our staff culture.   This role requires high initiative to problem solve and manage tasks and event planning with minimal outside guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • All aspects of basic day to day accounting needs

  • Manage/Reconcile Accounts Receivable and/ Payable

  • Monitor, track and rectify any discrepancies; assemble all financial information and verify its accuracy

  • Verify records by Reconcilreconcilinging bBank sStatements

  • Make daily check deposits

  • Generate and process check, bank transfer  and credit card payments

  • Office Supply Ordering and Maintenance Requests

  • Planning/Ordering for Staff Meals and Events

  • Basic Website Updates

  • General Office upkeep and odd jobs as needed

Skills and Job Qualifications:

  • 2 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred

  • Bachelors in accounting or finance is preferred but not required

  • Proficient on an Apple Computer preferred

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to learn and understand new software systems quickly

  • High integrity

  • Strong work ethic

  • High attention to detail

  • Proactive and willing to take initiative

  • Strong organization, multitasking and time management

  • Willingness to take ownership and lead a process from start to finish.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
